Pate caseiro – Homemade Liver Paté

Figado de frango / Chicken Liver – 800g

Tomilho Fresco / Fresh Thyme

Uma cebola / one onion

Dois dentes de alho / Two pieces of Garlic

Noz moscada a gosto / Nutmeg as of your preference

Pimenta do Reino a gosto / Black Pepper as of your preference

Whisky a gosto / Whisky as of your preference

Vinho tinto a gosto / Red Wine as of your preference

Sal a gosto – Salt

Manteiga/Butter – 50g

Azeite/  Olive Oil

Refogar a cebola e alho, quando transparentes adicione o fígado, tomilho, noz moscada, sal, vinho e o whiskey, deixe cozinhando 10 min até secar. Deixe Esfriar.  Misture com 50g de manteiga. Misture no mixer e deixe gelar. Coma com torradas. Se quiser, adicione shitakes.

Gently braise the onion and garlic. When transparent, add the liver, thyme, nutmeg, salt, wine and whiskey. Cook for 10 min until it is dried. Leave until cool. Add  butter and mixer it all. Enjoy.
